Mangonels

In room 5 this term we have bean making Mangonels to fire. Charles and Ollie's went 10 meters. My group was Austin and I. it was made out of wood and a tennis ball. My group's mangonel fired the marshmallow 3.5 meters. Here is a video

A&P show

Last Friday room 5 made awesome fruit & veg to enter in the A&P show . They looked awesome. My favorite one was Jasper's sports car. We also made decorated cookies.  There was 3 people in my class that got a ribbon Emily, Grace, and Jesse

Dear Board of Trustees

I think that we should have bring your own device (BYOD). BYOD is when children bring a device to school e.g laptops, tablets, i pads, ipod touches and learn on them.

I think that we should have BYOD cause there is learning games that helps us learn e.g study ladder. It is fun learning for kids. Over half the syndicate said that they want BYOD at school. Kids enjoy learning on them.

Another reason is that devices cost a lot of money to buy one for everyone.

For example it would cost the school  over  $200, 000  to buy  an  ipad  for everyone

Lastly children will  no more in the future e.g be able to publish it on the blog or make movies.  We will have more things to publish on.

I think that we should have BYOD cause over half of the syndicate said yes,it will save the school lots of money and there are learning games that helps us learn.
